Gord has been designing and making furniture for the past twenty-five years. He is a faculty member of the Industrial Design program at the Ontario College of Art and Design and has also taught at Sheridan College in Toronto, the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, and the California College of Arts in San Francisco. While having lectured, exhibited, taught and published internationally, Peteran's practice is based in Toronto. In 2004, Gord was the recipient of an Ontario Arts Council Chalmers Fellowship.
