Mark began his career as an industrial designer at Metro Furniture, where for nine years he designed products, showrooms and exhibits. Since 1997, he has worked as an independent designer for a range of manufacturers.
Mark's work has been focused largely within the furniture industry, with projects spanning a variety of sectors including the home, workplace, education and healthcare. With each project, he strives to develop thoughtful, well considered products that address the situational needs of users while exhibiting a refined, understated approach to design. His work also reflects an extensive understanding of product development, production, craft and brand identity.
Mark studied Industrial Design in California at San Jose State University. He has taught furniture design at California College of the Arts. He lives and works in San Francisco.
