Robin Rizzini, a trained industrial designer, after working in various Milan design offices, joined the design team of Antonio Citterio with whom he collaborated for five years, from 2000 to 2005.
In 2005 he opened his own studio in Milan. His first customer was Keilhauer, for which he designed the sofa collection 'Dario', which won the Best of NeoCon Silver award for lounge seating during Neocon 2005. His next collection for Keilhauer, 'Robin Rizzini for Keilhauer' was awarded the Best of NeoCon Canada Innovation Award in 2007.
For MDF Italia, he designed the sofa collection 'RR03' and 'MATE' presented in 2007 and 2008 at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. He then joined the MDF Italia team of consultants for communication, working on visual communication, brand identity, and product portfolio development.
In 2011, during the Salone del Mobile, he presented products for Busnelli, Desalto, Lema/IOC, Poliform and Zanotta.
In 2012 he developed new products for MDF Italia and Extremis.
He is also a visiting professor at the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milano for the Master classes in Industrial and Furniture Design.
In 2013 he teamed with Bruno Fattorini and Lucio Quinzio Leonelli, and formed Fattorini + Rizzini + Partners, design studio based in Milan, of which he’s the design chief.
The studio has an international identity with a strong accent in product research and development and all products are developed in the office in close collaboration with highly specialized suppliers and craftsman in Milan.
